The Content Type sets how the content of a Narrative, a Memo or a Description is stored and edited.
Text |
Plain text, with no formatting. See Text Editor. |
Markdown |
Text with formatting marks. See Markdown Editor. |

Content stored as HTML. See HTML Editor. |
The Content Type can be selected in the Narrative Editor, in Enter Memos, and on the Information and Description tabs of the Masterfiles.
The default Content Type is set separately for Narratives, for Memos and for Descriptions in Company Settings. Narratives default to Text. Memos and Descriptions default to Markdown.
Each default can allow the Content Type to be changed in the editor. Changing the Content Type is allowed by default.
